#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to this month:
  • I continued my #NoticedMoments series on Instagram
  • I made a graphic to share on social media for Bi Visibility Month
  • I kept up with my regular efforts for Visible Bi+
  • and I'm posting this #WIPWednesday – even though it is late
It is late because we've had an unfolding, ongoing family crisis the past two weeks. We had to call 911 for my mom and ended up with a very unexpected diagnosis of Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. I've shared a little about it on my Instagram. But, suffice it to say, my writing and online presence will be taking a backseat for a while.

#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to this month:
On a personal note, the kids are back in school and I accepted a part-time position as a clerk at my local library.

26 July 2023

#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to this month:
  • I decided to discontinue the use of Twitter, both personally and professionally
  • I archived, posted notice, and deleted my accounts from Twitter
  • I also decided to use the new platform, Threads, instead and created those accounts
  • I began the process of changing my Twitter/Threads links across the web
  • I continued my #NoticedMoments series on Instagram
  • I kept up with my regular efforts for Visible Bi+
  • and I'm posting this #WIPWednesday on time
As you can see, much of my working time and energy, this month, went into transitioning from Twitter to Threads. It was not something I had planned to spend time on – the launch of Threads was a surprise. But I had been very discontent with Twitter and (after some initial overwhelm) seized the opportunity to remove myself from Twitter, completely.

#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to this month:
On a personal note, I've also been managing to keep up with posting once a week on my @JoyceFamilyTravels Instagram for a few months straight, now. And I am happy to report that at halfway through the year, I am also halfway through my Goodreads Reading Challenge goal.

#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to since my last #WIPWednesday:

The end of the school year and the start of summer is always a hectic time and, as I wrote about, busy feels icky to me. So, I am actually surprised I have this much to share this month!

26 April 2023

#WIPWednesday

Here's what I've been up to since my last #WIPWednesday:

  • I have done some new writing but I'm not sure if it something I want to publish, at this point
  • I made a graphic to share on social media
  • I continued my #NoticedMoments series on Instagram

I've been feeling more motivated to complete personal projects, lately, than to write or work on better online presence and engagement. So, I've been a bit quite but in a more fulfilling way than when I was having such a hard time with my mental health last year.

#WIPWednesday

This #WIPWednesday is a week early since I'll happily be away from my computer next Wednesday, enjoying a quiet spring break vacation with my family.

Here's what I've been up to since my last report:

  • and I'm posting this #WIPWednesday report early to stay on track

I've been feeling much better, physically and mentally, lately and I'm looking forward to seeing what inspires me over the coming months.

22 February 2023

#WIPWednesday

February has been a month of self-care and celebration. But I do have a few things to report:

While I knew I was going to take it easy for these first couple months of 2023, I have no plan for what comes next. Guess we'll see how it unfolds.

Happy New Year!

Personally, I claimed January as a month of recovery and recuperation after my challenging end to 2022. So, I don't have much to report for this first #WIPWednesday of 2023, but here what I do have to share:

  • I finished the end-of-year reports & renewed the necessary stuff for 2023

I am already claiming February – my birthday month – as a month of self-care and celebration. After that, who knows what the coming months will bring!
